My Night Routine
Within the past month I realized my nightly routine was not healthy for the lifestyle I wanted. I would stay up scrolling on my phone for hours, go to bed at 2am, sleep in until the late morning and always felt in an irritated mood the next day. I wanted to make a change for myself and decided to create a new night routine that I am so happy with! Here’s how it starts :)
I love starting my night by putting on my favorite lounge clothes to get comfortable. My current favorite it throwing on a matching pajama set! Getting into comfy clothes lets your body wind down and start to relax.
Who else can agree that theres just something about fall candles that just makes relaxing 10x better? I usually go to TJ Maxx, Marshall’s or Homegoods for the best candles with the cheapest price! I personally love fall scents so when they come out I make sure to stock up but there is always a variety of scents at each store!
Drinking non caffinated tea before going to bed is a great way to help you sleep. This is something I just recently started doing and am still trying to find my favorite kind. As of right now, I’m trying Yogi Soothing Caramel Bedtime Tea and so far I like it! I like to find one’s with chamomile or lavender which are known to help people sleep.
Between, school, work and my personal life, things can get crazy and sometimes I feel like I can’t keep up. I always like to prepare for the next day by checking to see what assignments I have due, seeing exactly what time I need to be at work and even checking the fridge incase I need a grocery restock. This is the best way for me to wake up in the morning with a positive mindset for the day.
I recently picked up reading for fun again I’m obsessed to say the least. I noticed being on my phone before bed was giving me awful headaches and restless sleep so I switched over to reading books right before I go to bed. It became so relaxing to me that I would end up falling super easily. I highly recommend this if you’ve been having a hard time falling asleep or staying asleep.
