Top 5 Books of 2021

Reading has become one of my daily hobbies. After spending maybe a little too much money at Barnes & Noble, I’ve found some of my favorite books and am to share them with you all. If you have any great book recommendations, feel free to send me a message on my instagram and give me your thoughts! :)

5. All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

Genre: Novel, Fiction

Jennifer Niven based this book on her own personal story. You’ll get a feel of adventure and romance while learning about the importance of mental illness. The ending had me in tears but overall makes you feel good and realize everyone is going through their own battles. This book turned out to be so great that they decided to make a movie. If you liked the movie you’ll love the book!

4. They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera

Genre: Adventure, Fiction

What would you do if you were told you have 24 hours left to live? Mateo and Rufus spend their last day doing things that make them feel alive rather than just existing. This books teaches you that a stranger can change your life for the better even when you least expect it. I was left feeling inspired to take on the adventures of life and live to the fullest.

3. An Offer From A Gentleman by Julia Quinn

Genre: Romance, Historical, Fiction

After hearing about the amazing reviews Nexflix’s Bridgerton received, my best friend told me I’d love this book. After reading half of the series, I can easily say book #3 has been my favorite. Very similar to a Cinderella retelling, you’ll fall in love if you’re a sucker for a good romance story. The books ended up being MUCH better than the show, so if you liked Bridgerton, you’ll love this series!

2. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Genre: Novel, Romance, Fiction

Once I saw this book trending on BookTok, (yes, I’m on booktok), I knew it would be a good one. This story is all about a forbidden love with trauma from the past. It shows you that no matter how much you’ve hurt in the past, you’re always capable of being happy again. Not to mention the same characters in this book appear in November 9th! Another great book by Colleen Hoover that will leave you wanting more.

  1. November 9th by Colleen Hoover

Genre: Novel, Romance, Fiction

Where to even begin with this one. November 9 started my love for Colleen Hoover’s writing. I finished this one in 2 days and was full on crying at the end. Fallon and Ben meet unexpectedly and fall in love in just one day. Yet, life happens and they decide to meet at the same place, at the same time every year with absolutely no contact in between. You’ll go through a roller coaster ride of emotions, plot twists and heart felt moments that will have you glued to the pages. I highly recommend this if you’re wanting to start reading :)
